What's Next?

I've just ordered Sergei Lukyanenko's Night Watch, and I'll be reviewing that - and the rest of his trilogy - at various intervals in the following few days. What else? I'm hoping to bring in some more content - but I'm looking for more fantasy and science fiction. What should I read next?

  1. I would highly recommend Perdido Street Station by China Mieville. One of the most unique worlds and set of characters I've ever read.

  2. I read Lukyanenko's tetralogy TWICE and I honestly believe is one of the best urban fantasies out there. The movies ("Day Watch" and "Night Watch") are good, also.
    I cannot wait to read your review...

  3. When it comes to science fiction, you should read Pandora's Star by Peter F. Hamilton. I believe he is English. Also Battlefield Earth by L. Ron Hubbard is a superb sci-fi novel.

  4. @Jerodatgm,

    I've recently picked up some of China Meiville's work, but I haven't worked my way round to Perdido Street Station yet - now I've ordered it. Thanks!

    @Alone in Holy Land,

    Good recommendation! I'm looking forward to trying them. :)

    @Galaxy Press,

    Indeed - I'll try both. I'm afraid I've fallen a little behind on my SF reading recently, for all sorts of reasons - I'll order those two soon. Thanks!
